CI 515 Trends and Issues in Instruction and Assessment

CI 515 is a graduate-level look at how curriculum, instruction, and assessment actually fit together in modern classrooms, with differentiated instruction as the through-line: the premise is that one lesson and one test rarely serve every learner, so teachers need a principled way to vary both. You'll read across curriculum theory and DI literature, build lesson plans and assessment instruments, present your work, and write essay-style midterm and final responses that argue from current practice. It sits in the Curriculum and Instruction program as a bridge between foundational theory courses and the practical design work you'll do in your thesis or classroom.
