CI 513 teaches you to reason about uncertainty in behavioral data, when a difference between groups is real signal versus noise, and which test legitimately answers the question you're asking. You'll work through weekly problem sets and labs running t-tests, ANOVAs, correlations, and chi-square in statistical software, plus read published studies critically to judge whether their analyses actually hold up. It's the methodological backbone for any thesis or empirical project in education and the social sciences, where picking the wrong test quietly invalidates otherwise solid work.

In class, all topics included In order to qualify to take the final exam of the course, students must: (i) Have attended 11 out of the 14 weekly course sessions, and (ii) Have a total of at least half the points allocated to all graded work throughout the course (including mid-term exam)
