CI 617 Academic Writing in Education

A graduate-level course in turning education research into publishable work, this one treats academic writing less as a style course and more as an apprenticeship in the publication process itself. You will keep a writing log, draft and revise abstracts, literature reviews, and a full journal article, search out peer-reviewed venues and conferences in your subfield, and give and receive peer review on each other's drafts. It assumes you already have a research project worth writing up, and the deliverables you produce here are meant to leave the course as actual submissions rather than seminar exercises.
