LNG 243 Japanese III

Building on LNG 242, this third semester pushes you from absolute-beginner Japanese into the back half of CEFR A2, where you can actually hold short conversations about health, celebrations, eating out, trips, and events rather than just reciting set phrases. You work through the later units of Marugoto Elementary 1 and the first half of Elementary 2, with weekly performance tasks, quizzes, a verbal presentation, and a midterm and final that test all four skills together. Six "Performance" grades dominate the breakdown, so consistent weekly speaking and writing practice matters far more than cramming, and the grammar and kanji load here is what makes LNG 244 manageable next semester.
