LNG 242 Japanese II

LNG 242 picks up where LNG 241 left off, pushing you from absolute-beginner Japanese into the lower end of A2, meaning you stop just naming things and start actually narrating holidays, giving directions around your neighborhood, inviting a friend out, and handling a visitor at the airport in something resembling natural exchanges. The work is constant low-stakes practice rather than cramming: six performance grades plus quizzes, homework, and participation mean you're speaking, writing short blogs and emails, and listening to dialogues nearly every week, with a midterm and final on top. It's an elective language credit for most students, but if you're aiming to continue into LNG 341 or eventually study/intern in Japan, this is the semester where the grammar from last term finally starts behaving like a language you can use.
