PSYC 206 is where you stop just learning about research and start actually doing it, building on the foundations from PSYC 204, you move into the messier territory of factorial, correlational, and quasi-experimental designs that real psychology questions actually require. The semester is structured around running your own studies end-to-end: you'll formulate hypotheses, write an APA-style proposal, defend it in an oral presentation, navigate peer review and ethics, and ultimately present a scientific poster. Treat it as your first real apprenticeship in the research cycle that upper-level courses, capstone work, and any future grad school application will assume you've already lived through.
