MBG 510 Special Topics in Molecular Biology II

A graduate seminar series where invited researchers from places like AstraZeneca, EMBL, Mount Sinai, Oxford, and Bilkent itself walk you through what they're actually working on right now in molecular biology and genetics, functional genomics, neurodegeneration models, cancer therapy resistance, immune system genetics, and so on. Each week you read around the speaker's topic, show up ready to ask real questions, and get assessed through quizzes, a midterm, a final, and participation, plus practice writing abstracts for research projects. It's less a course with a syllabus and more a structured way for MBG grad students to see where the field is moving and figure out how that connects to their own thesis work.
