CTIS 493 Information Systems Project Management

CTIS 493 treats software delivery as a managerial problem rather than a coding one: how you take an IS initiative from a vague business need through scoping, scheduling, staffing, and sign-off without it collapsing under its own weight. You'll work through the PMBOK lifecycle hands-on, building WBS breakdowns, running CPM and PERT on real schedules, doing NPV/ROI feasibility calls, and tracking progress with Earned Value, alongside the softer mechanics of leading teams, handling risk, and managing procurement.
