PSYC 673 Advanced Training in Psychological Research II

PSYC 673 is the second half of a hands-on apprenticeship in doing psychology as a working scientist, not just reading about it, the focus is owning a complex empirical project end-to-end rather than mastering a fixed syllabus. Most of your time goes into running an independent study: building the literature case, collecting and coding data, analyzing it, and writing it up at a level you could realistically submit to a journal or use to draft a grant proposal. It sits late in the graduate sequence as the bridge between coursework and your thesis, which is why deliverables look like real research outputs instead of exams.
