ME 103 Introduction to Computer-Aided Design

ME 103 is a hands-on lab course that gets you fluent in SolidWorks, the CAD tool you'll lean on for the rest of your mechanical engineering coursework. Most weeks you'll be in front of a workstation building parts from features, mating them into assemblies, producing properly toleranced drawings, and running simple animations, with weekly quizzes and a midterm checking that the workflow actually sticks. It's only 1 credit, but the payoff comes later: design projects in courses like ME 114 and the senior capstone assume you can already model what you've sketched on paper.
