MBG 613 Special Topics in Genetics II

A graduate seminar series where each week a different researcher, from Bilkent, METU, Hacettepe, Max Planck, CNRS, Sidra, and beyond, presents their current work in molecular genetics, and you're expected to follow along closely enough to ask sharp questions and engage with the science in real time. Your job isn't to memorize content but to read around each talk, sit through weekly quizzes that check whether you actually engaged, and learn to write a clean research abstract by the end. It rounds out the MBG graduate core by exposing you to the breadth of what's actually being done in the field right now, which is useful both for shaping your thesis direction and for getting comfortable discussing science with people outside your immediate lab.
