Creative producing is the discipline of turning a raw idea into a fundable, marketable audiovisual project, balancing creative ambition against the hard constraints of time, money, and rights. You'll work a single project across the semester, breaking down a script, building schedules and budgets, mapping financing and distribution paths, and assembling everything into a proposal booklet and pitch deck presented at the end. It's where the production-side coursework converges into something you could actually walk into a festival market or a financier's office with, which matters because in the current funding landscape the producer's judgment is often what decides whether a project gets made at all.
